Saw these signs today on all entrances of the main campus building of the community college where I teach, which flooded, lost power, and all the rest during the storm.
The picture is a bit blurry, but the sign reads:
No heat or hot water in all of Lower Manhattan.
But with you here we have all the energy we need.
